Tbh, I don't think this game is that great. It's hella grindy and the constant back tracking gets annoying and rediculous. Having to go back and forth and back and forth to progress the story gets annoying.

I got decently far, and the story isn't that great, but it was decent enough.

The original was a lot of fun. The 3D battles didn't age well though.

I will say that the story got really weird about 2/3rds of the way in, and the amount of random battles while trying to solve the puzzles got annoying.

I think Final Fantasy II's level up system doesn't make too much sense to me lol. Essentially you need to take a good amount of damage for your stats to go up which is odd. It's unique though I will give them that. It's broken in Origins, you can attack your own party members to get stronger lol ...
