Another interesting one, were they all DnD inspired?
I think a good number of earlier RPGs were definitely inspired by DnD. There's lots of "Advanced Dungeons and Dragons" video games that were released back in the 80's and 90's. I know there's still games based around DnD that come out.

I think Final Fantasy II's level up system doesn't make too much sense to me lol. Essentially you need to take a good amount of damage for your stats to go up which is odd. It's unique though I will give them that. It's broken in Origins, you can attack your own party members to get stronger ...

Is choosing classes new in recent versions? I just remember set classes in the original game.
Yeah there's only set classes but you can promote your characters later in the game. I wish I picked a white or black mage, even the Red Wizard can't learn everything like I thought he could. :V I ...
