Hrmmmm, Horizon Forbidden series is pretty interactive I would say.

I'm struggling getting back into leaf green, I'm at a part I need to grind levels and I find that too boring to deal with.

Honestly this might be an unpopular opinion but I like that the newer games give experience to your whole party. It makes it easier to grind, I think Nintendo should have ...

I think for me it was FF 7, several replays into it and found out I could kill the annoying Indian ghost with a phoenix down.
