Have you ever beat a RPG at a low level?

Post by Ravenfreak »

So as the title of this thread asks, have you ever beat any RPG at a very low level? If so which game and what level was your party at? How did you beat the game? I know you can beat the gen 1 Pokemon games without leaving your house by means of using the save glitch, but that's of course due to glitches. :P I would like to try and beat Legend of Legaia at a pretty low level someday, the lowest level I've had my party at to beat the game was 31 and I wonder if I could beat it at level 20 something or even lower.

It's not quite the same as having a 'low level', but I remember during my first playthrough of Legend of Mana I had no idea you could find/make/buy better weapons and magic. I played the whole game with my Level 1 dagger and nothing else

 That sounds like it was a pain! Still cool you played the entire game with a level 1 dagger!

It was! XD I remember the boss fights taking sooooo long and no wonder!

But in some ways, it made the experience a lot more fun and when I played it again and discovered some of what I'd missed I was blown away. I swear each time I play it there's something new I discover and it's one of the reasons why it's one of my faves!

Yes! I beat Chrono Trigger at a low level. My party was around level 40-45 by the time I reached the final boss, Lavos.By the way have you played this game?

I have played it but I never finished it! I have it via Final Fantasy Chronicles on the PS1. I need to go back and play it again someday and actually finish it. The version I have has cutscenes which is cool.

I usually beat most at near or max level, one of these days I should do a low level run in final fantasy or something.

That's impressive! To succeed in Legend of Mana with only a Level 1 dagger required innovative planning. I did manage to beat several RPGs though.
