Final Fantasy go back to pixel?

Do you think Final Fantasy should go back to its roots and make FF 17 a pixel game?

I think it would be cool to see them make another retro game! Bring back turn based battles too, that would be awesome! Though if they were going to do that, it'll most likely be a spinoff and not a numbered game.

True, most likely a spin off but would be awesome if it were FF 17. You can't do everything with real life graphics like they do in FF 6.

Yeah you're right, artists can do some amazing things with pixel art! But it will most likely be another hack and slash with HD graphics since most RPGs are this way today. (Unless you talk about the indie games most are 2D games that are turn based.)

I’ve been in the fandom for so long that the goalpost keeps getting shifted from when the franchise “stopped being good”, only for entries to slowly inch into fandom acceptance. It’s not too dissimilar to Zelda fans.

I remember when FF “stopped being good” when they moved to PlayStation.
