Pokemon Gen 5

Now this generation has to be the most underrated generation of Pokemon hands down. I had a blast playing White version when it first came out and I thought it was miles better than Generation 4. I never finished Black 2, I should get around to doing so someday. I think it's cool this was the first time the main series games were set place outside of Japan and was based around New York City. I also liked the updated sprites and animations added to the game and loved the fact that the low HP sound effect was turned into a epic theme! Just listen to this!

I think this is when I stopped playing Pokemon games, I wasn't seeing anything that make me replay the newer games.
