The rich storylines and immersive worlds have all my attention, and the very few games that have bad stories I probably never got myself to play them. Great stories keep me attracted to the RPG genre.

Having a detailed backstory and immersive story for each playable character is important to the game play. I'm playing a character based on who they are, rather than what [skills] they are[/have]. I want to have that intimate connection with a character, I want to dream about being that character. That's why I always played RPGs. A game with a poorly done story just isn't interesting.

When everything meshes together rather well and you feel sad to beat the game.

A narrative can become more interesting when it makes you fall in love with the characters . I prefer when the story has a lot of surprises. It keeps me thinking even after I left the game
