Character development is, to me, one of the greatest things in an RPG. I build my own characters with exceptional personalities, backstories, and motivations. A wonderful character development can give depth and complexity to the game. Don't you think so?

I'm usually the type of person who doesn't really take too much time to work on my character's backstories lol. If I'm playing a table top RPG like Dungeons and Dragons I just use a character template and go with that. Though sometimes I do get creative and flush out a backstory for my character if I really like the RPG. Though most RPGs I play have established characters I play as.

I usually just throw stuff together, I'm not good at that stuff and don't want to spend too much time on it.

yeah! Sometimes I start with a template, but as I go, I like to develop the character's personality. It adds some flavor to the game and makes it immersive for me.
