It's time to discuss some hidden gems in retro RPGs that have gone unrecognized. Chrono Trigger and Terranigma were inspirations for today's RPGs but are forgotten now. What lesser-known retro RPGs do you cherish and why?

Star Ocean and Breath of Fire excited a lot of people back in the day, barely hear anything of them these days.

I have one of the Star Ocean games, I can't remember which one though lol I got it on PSP. Breath of Fire is fantastic though! Still need to play Star Ocean. Legend of Legaia definitely needs more recognition. It gets overshadowed by Legend of Dragoon, which of course that game is good but I like LoL better.

Legend of Legaia is another on my list, not sure if I will get to it anytime soon.

Vagrant Story is another game that can be regarded as a hidden gem. As the first RPG of its era with its gloomy presentation, complicated plot, and distinctive battle system, it was not like others.
