Do I need to play 8 bit adventures 1 before 2?

It is preferably to play 8-Bit Adventures 1 first to get an idea on the story and characters. It is not a strict requirement, but compared to the second game, it is preferable to play the first game in order to get a context of the second one.

Sometimes when it comes to RPGs, you need to play the first game but other times you don't really need to do that. For example, a lot of the Final Fantasy games are standalone games and don't really connect with the other ones.

Thanks for that! Now I know that I don't necessarily have to play 8-Bit before playing 2 but I still think it would help in some ways..
