Did you beat an RPG game without the manual? How?

Playing an RPG without the manual needs intelligence and patience! My approach has been trial and error and watching what the enemies do and practicing different tactics until I master the gameplay. This was difficult but it makes you understand the game better. The good thing is, that kind of experience made me learn that it is possible to think outside the box and to rely on my instincts.

I beat the generation 1 Pokemon games without any guide or manual. I got the games used so I never had the box or manual that came with it, and I didn't have a computer at the time to look up a walkthrough. I did ask one of my classmates in the fifth grade how to make it to Celadon City since I didn't know where to go but that's it lol.

I've beaten them before without guide help, but these days I use them so I don't waste any time.

Sure! I did it once with a game. I forgot the name of that game. I couldn't find any manual or any kind assistance, but I was able to figure things out through trial and error.
