Thinking about setting up a day/time to stream RPGs!

I was going to post this in the public section, but eh. I figured I'd post about it here first to let you all know. I think the only way I'm actually going to play a bunch of RPGs that I've never played before is on stream! Thing is I would have to figure out a day and time. I'm thinking I'll start this Saturday, but I think my wife and I might be going to see the movie titled "Together." on Saturday. So that might not work... But I think having a stream Saturday evening would be better since more people can watch it rather than if I was to stream on a Sunday evening. I can play some games on real hardware, but most will be played via emulation and I think I'm only going to stick with retro RPGs. Now I wonder if I should use my Twitch account or my Youtube account to stream. I've only streamed once on Youtube.

Are you planning on streaming just for fun or to gain an actual fanbase?

Mainly just for fun and to get through a growing backlog of games. If I get a fanbase in the process I wouldn't be upset about it lol. I think it'd be a fun way to get through the numerous RPGs I keep wanting to play but never have. I'm also going to play games from other genres too, but I want to start with RPGs.

Sounds cool, I know if you want to be serious about it, you almost have to stream daily or weekly at the same time.

Oh yeah for sure. I want to try and have a set schedule for when I stream. It's easier for people to watch when it's a set schedule too.

Alright I'm thinking I want to start streaming on Saturday evenings, 7 pm CST. I would pick an earlier time but my schedule is changing next month so I won't be working as early as I am now and won't get off work until 2:30 instead of 12:30. So I'll be getting home around 3 pm, that is if traffic isn't too bad. Then I'll need time to eat, play my Xbox, post on forums, and browse Discord.

Twitch is a nice platform for streaming. You start by streaming some cool retro RPGs over the weekend and build your audience slowly. It will be slow at start but since it's your passion, it will be like a hobby.

I think I will eventually stream on Twitch in the future. For now I'm going to use my Youtube channel. :) I have a Twitch account though.

Cool I'll let you all know when I'm about to go live! I'll make this thread public here in a bit so everyone can see it not just members.

I'm bumping this thread to let you all know this is still happening tomorrow evening! I can't wait to play Super Mario RPG for the first time and on a livestream! I'm going to test out a few things before going live to make sure everything is ready to go.
