Okay perhaps this could go under 32-bit since it came out during that era but meh. This is a pretty well known RPG for the N64 and it's known for being a bad game. I haven't had the chance to play this one yet, but I want to definitely play it on a live stream sometime in the future. I'm sure there's someone out there who has fond childhood memories of playing this game and they probably like it. It's also known as Holy Magic Century in Europe which is a funny name.

I rented this a few times from blockbuster, I know I didn't beat it but not sure how far I got into it.

The game is just okay. It’s very simplistic, but not in a good way. There aren’t traditional levels, and it kinda works like FF2 where various stats increase based on what you do. It’s a mechanic that works well in a game like Elder Scrolls, but it just increases the amount of grinding in a turn based RPG.

I think I read somewhere they just pushed this out to have a few more JRPG options on N64

I can see that, originally Final fantasy VII was going to be on the N64 and it probably was going to be the biggest one but with the cartridge limitations it was of course moved to the PS1. Every time I think of the N64 I think of FPS games more than RPGs.

N64 was pokemon, platformers, party games and FPS. Not much else.

The only other RPG’s I can think of for the N64 are Aidyn Chronicles and Ogre Battle 64. Out of those two, only Ogre Battle gets praise. I tried Aidyn Chronicles, and it wasn’t good.
