Monster Hunter Freedom 2

This was another game I picked up today. Monster Hunter Freedom 2 is a PSP title that is a enhanced version of Monster Hunter 2. I own Monster Hunter on the PS2, so I figured I would get this one as well. I got interested in the Monster Hunter series after playing a bit of Monster Hunter Stories for the 3DS. Once I get a new battery for my wife's PSP, and after I beat the first game I'm going to give this one a go. If you ever played this title before, let me know how you liked it!

I haven’t played Monster Hunter Freedom 2, but I’m curious to know how it compares to later games like Monster Hunter World (I have played this one). Is the grind satisfying, or too harsh? What’s the best weapon for beginners?
