Cassette Beasts

This is another monster collecting game where you use Cassettes to upgrade your beasts. This game is heavily inspired by Pokemon, so fans of that franchise would probably enjoy this game. It's on my huge list of games that I would like to play someday. I haven't bought it yet, but I've been thinking about it lately since it popped up on my Xbox Series S' home page the other day. Have you played this game yet? It's got some great reviews too, so it's generally liked by RPG fans!

Alright I went ahead and purchased this on my Series S. I completed the first mission and I love this game! Definitely gives me a huge Pokemon vibe for sure. I like how you can customize your character, and I think the concept of fusing with your beasts is cool and reminds me of my favorite season of Digimon. If you're a Pokemon fan, I highly recommend giving this a go. There was a boss fight I got into that had some really cool effects, and kind of creeped me out a bit lol.

I know it's been only a day since I've last replied to this thread but I can't stress this enough, this game really is tons of fun! I'm absolutely hooked on it now! I completed a mission today, took on a rouge fusion, and became a ranger. Kayleigh and I are now at level 17 and I haven't met up with Eugene yet. You get human partners that team up with you so you always have someone next to you in battle, or at least so far I'm not sure if that changes later on. Once I get familiar with the typing I would like to play online.

Update on my playthrough of the game, I just defeated my first Ranger who happened to be the 4th ranger lol. His name is Judas, I had a feeling he was a Ranger when I seen him on the map so I had to hurry up and make it back to a campsite to heal. I also revised a few of my cassettes into even stronger forms! I caught a few new ones too. I'm at level 29 and so is Kaleigh. Eugene is only at level 26 though so I should switch them around again soon.

Bro this sounds like a cool game! As a Pokemon and Digimon fan, I'm definitely gonna have to give this game a play someday! Sounds like you're really enjoying it so far Raven!

I love Cassette Beasts, especially the monster-catching gameplay. It's definitely going to draw me in. The online multiplayer features adds am extra layer of immersion to the game.

Update on my playthrough of Cassette beasts. I finally got defeated by an Archangel. This one is tough to beat! I can't remember his name but he's a puppet. Also I've got Meredith up to heart level 3 and I wonder if I get to date her in the game. Before making it to heart level 3 she blushed and I flirted with her lol. I think she's cute! Also her and I are at level 40. I need to get Eugene again and level him up since he's only at level 26. Kayleigh is a little behind too but not as bad as Eugene. This is Meredith:

I made it to five hearts with Meredith and we're dating now! I liked the five heart event with her, she takes you back to her shop and you watch a 1981 horror film. I also got Kaleigh up to heart level 4 too. I also found Barkley, another companion who is a dog. I still don't know how to help him though, he wants to climb a mountain.

I got Barkley! I also made it to a part of the game that tells the player when certain characters were born. Meredith was born in 1967, and she was taken from her world in 1989 so she's 22. Kayleigh was born in 1983, but I'm not sure when she was taken from her world. She was around to see the internet and phones, so I'm guessing maybe she's from the 00's or 10's. Felix was born in 1991, he's a year younger than me lol. Still not sure which year he was taken from. Eugene is from the future! He was born in 2075! Barkley was born in 15105 AD lol. Viola was born in 1515, but I'm thinking she's from a play or a book. Sorry for the spoilers but man I love this game!

I'm getting close to the end of the game now. I almost have a completed bestiary, I'm only missing six beasts. I also need to take on the captains again but man they're tough I keep getting my butt kicked by them. I've only beat two of them so far... I also need to figure out the clues from Morgante's song. I think once I figure that out I'll get to see the ending of the game.
