RPG Haven

This is a series that I've tried getting into but damn the games are just a bit too difficult for me! I tried playing the third game, took me 15 tries to beat the first boss and when I finally did I kept dying at the next part of the game. I would like to beat a Souls game someday, but eh. Anyways what are your thoughts on this series? They're pretty popular! Or at least they were during the 360 era I feel.

Well, I find this game frustratingly difficult. I tried playing a couple of times and every time I found it to be too difficult. Now, I have given up. I do like games that challenges me but I don't want them to be so challenging like sitting on a competitive exam for the government's job.

You're not wrong about the difficulty level! I really do want to go back and play this series someday but I also want to be able to enjoy a game that I'm playing and not get frustrated with it at every moment.

Funny thing. I usually not playing soulslike games, because of my pathetic reflexes... But I am very often spending hours on reading about their lore, because they represent mix of dark fantasy and Lovecraftian cosmic horror I like.

I feel you in the frustration! Dark Souls is notoriously difficult for its gameplay, and that is what makes it charming to me. I get a sense of accomplishment after finally defeating a boss.
