Digimon World

Post by Ravenfreak »

So I tried playing this game as a kid and honestly I couldn't really get into it. The first game in the series is very similar to Tamagotchi, which makes sense since Digimon was based on these toys. You get a partner Digimon who hatches from an egg so it's in Training mode. You have to tame it to have it digivolve into it's rookie form. Since it's a rogue like RPG you need to make sure you feed your Digimon and also make sure you take it to the bathroom when it's got to go lol. There's also courses to help raise your Digimon's stats. I'm not the biggest fan of rogue likes myself which is why I never really got into this one that much.

I don't think I played this, just 2 and 3. Looking at gameplay, this looked like a rather rough game to play.

It was especially when I was a kid lol. It's still rough to play. There's Digimon World Next Order that I believe is a sequel or prequel to this one but it's probably easier to play since it's newer. (I own it but again, it's been on my backlog. I should really just add that to my signature or something at this point lol.)

I'll need to pick up the latest Digimon games, give them another go, I could still have fun I feel.
