What Makes a Good Narrative in an RPG?

Post by 1stop »

By definition, the RPG is a storytelling genre. Immersive worlds, complex characters, and emotional depth place titles such as The Last of Us and Mass Effect at the top. If a storyline is great, it can ensure continued involvement by the player. That is a key reason why RPGs are that popular.

Something that really pulls random characters together to complete something epic and that sticks to your mind.

It should havean interesting plot that is full of surprises, relatable characters, and choices that matter. A good narrative should affect the player's emotions and interests as well.
